My guess is that if LSU really wants him they’ll turn up the heat after this class is nailed down.

That’s what I told my brother n law would probably happen. He just said other schools haven’t slowed down on him. It would be a good get if we can flip him, and oh well if not.

It’s not that he is just some LSU fan or grew up cheering for them. Out of all of the places he has been, LSU has been his favorite. UGA has turned up the heat a bunch lately and really likes Athens.

Where's he projected to play in college? I see he's listed as an athlete

He plays receiver and corner. He knows that his best chance to go pro would be at corner. He is a very good receiver also though.

Either you or the kid is severely confused about the recruiting process. If he wanted love from everyone, he should have never committed to bama less than a month ago. I’m not doubting his talent, but louisiana grows kids on trees just like him every year without having to pry them away from other schools. Sounds like he wants to have his cake and eat it too.

LSU is recruiting better

At corner or at WR.

Let Bama and Ole Miss battle it out for a kid from Oxford

corner

There is your answer. He's committed to another school AND he's a 2019 corner. We already have Maurice Hampton committed, and our top uncommitted guy is Derek Stingley, who happens to be from Baton Rouge. Then we have Devin Bush we're after pretty hard, too. In fact, four of the top 11 in state guys are corners. So, why would the staff spend a lot of time flipping a guy that's already committed elsewhere, when there are plenty of other top prospects we can go after?

He said that his first choice would be LSU, but the coaching staff isn’t showing him the love.

Just stop, you’re digging yourself a deeper hole

You make a sale pitch for this kid, people give you multiple reason why LSU hasn’t pursued him fully, and you say well y’all don’t know recruiting.. cmon man. Maybe you don’t

IF we act like we really want him.

The "show me the love" is a bunch of bullshite. Either he's looking for some cash, maybe a Charger, or he's an immature drama queen. At this point in his football career he should realize, and your brother should confirm, that once on campus, he's just another jersey who needs to EARN his spot. Any "love" he's being shown will look quite different once the drills begin. If he's expecting anything else, best of luck.

Turnage is in the 11th grade, just a kid, wants someone to pay attention to him, just like when we post on this site. Give him a break.

Quite simple. Do what what every other recruit does and re-open his commitment. With the hard 25 rules a lot of teams are not going to waste time with kids committed to other schools. Some may due to desperation and some may for other reasons, but the new rules are going to stop teams and recruits from playing around.

This kid might not even be thinking/saying this, we aren’t necessarily bashing him, just the guy who’s airing out this kids dirty laundry. I’m sure if he is thinking this, he doesn’t want his coaches brother in law posting all of this shite about him on a public board.

Idk why people think something is wrong with a kid wanted to get recruited harder by a school before committing. If Bama and Georgia are making him more of a priority than LSU is then I don’t blame him for wanting more attention from the staff if he really is that interested in us. With that being said, maybe we have higher priorities and as of now, we aren’t trying to land him

This is exactly what is wrong with commitments today. If he “really” wants to play for LSU and represent his state, he has an offer from us... accept it. He CHOSE to commit to bama, bc he didn’t feel the love from LSU coaches. If playing for LSU is that important to him, he would’ve committed to us, regardless if a coach showed him love who may not even be here when he comes to campus

That's one of the issues. He's wanting to be recruited harder AFTER committing. Plus, he's committed to the team we hate the most.

Plus, it's not even the kid who came here asking for attention. It's his freaking coach and the coach's brother in law. This probably would have never even been a topic on this forum of the kid had said that in an interview with a recruiting journalist.

I thought he meant the city of Lafayette. Whoops

He still holds an offer from us regardless. Decommit from our rival and show interest in LSU and maybe we will show interest back

This sounds like the crap that Saban teaches these kids to say to try to wreak havoc with LSU, its fans, future recruits. Hell with you for doing his bidding.
