Pretty wild that right now we have 11 commits and only 1 is in state. Speaks volumes and in a good way in my opinion.

I thought I had heard that this years in state was so deep also. To be honest I haven’t gotten into this years class much yet.

Deep at WR. We will take what we want and then go else wear to fill positions of need. 6 of top 10 are WR recruits.

I think it’s pretty top heavy and what makes it look so good is the WR group. IMO a great in state year has more state talent across the board position wise. Masson Smith is no question cream of the crop though. I think you’ll see more sleepers and diamonds in the rough from Louisiana this year. I think it could be why LSU is hitting hard nation wide. Then again that’s what you do when you’re a national champion program.

All things being equal (however that can be figured in recruits), I'd prefer the LA recruits. But, what's more important to me is who wants in. If a guy wants in and you think he's a LSU-level player, you take him and don't hold out for one that might be ranked slightly higher. In the end, there's a lot to be said for desire and conviction.

100%. Louisiana will always have high rated guys that most of the time LSU can pluck. Then there will be some who just feel the desire to go out of state. Not a lot but sometimes. But if you have a guy who in the coaches eyes can come in and make a big impact then you take that guy no matter where he’s from. Like you said give me a slightly less talented guy who will come in and give his all in the classroom, field and community over a 5 star that expects to be catered.
