We got pumped when this picture of Landon Jackson made the rounds earlier this week:

Well...he's not the only freak defensive end in this class

Saivion Jones ran a 4.65 40 today:

He followed it with a 4.54 40. 6'5" 240 lbs. with that speed is insane.

Top 2022 WR target Shazz Preston ran back-to-back 4.47 40s at the same camp

Nice find. Jones has as much upside as anyone committed in this class.

Love his potential and you guessed it...currently underrated.

Agree with all of this. I've loved this kid since early on and it was easy to see why O coveted him so much. May be the most purely talented kid in the class. Has to make good on it but if he comes close to maxing out he could easily be a top 5-ish guy. It's even been suggested his body could eventually be in the 300 range by the end of his time here. Freakish upside
His ranking is lower than it should be but it's understandable. Hes being ranked almost solely on potential. The camp season could've been his coming out party. He's gonna need film to rise too much. Good film that shows he's actually improving and not just a package of workout numbers.

I'm glad we finally have a class plentiful with pass rushers. It seems like we've been looking for a multiple high end rushers since Mingo and Montgomery. This foursome we currently have committed is the bees knees.

The phrase was first recorded in the late 18th century, when it was used to mean 'something very small and insignificant'. Its current meaning dates from the 1920s, at which time a whole collection of American slang expressions were coined with the meaning 'an outstanding person or thing'. Examples included the flea's eyebrows, the canary's tusks, and one that still survives – the cat's whiskers. The switch in meaning for the bee's knees probably emerged because it was so similar in structure and pattern to these other phrases.

Jones and Jackson on the ends will terrorize QBs.

So for both of their sizes, I assume SDE while players like K. Koht at 6-3 225 will play WDE.

Yes?

I really don't mean to throw water on the fire, but that didn't look like a 4.65 to me. I could certainly be wrong, but that seems like a generous time.

It was hand timed. Even if .2 off, that's pretty good for his size.

Didnt look it, but the angle was poor to judge speed.. but the timer of the video on Twitter actually supports the 40 being around four and a half seconds give or take

Where is that big ole tattoo from the first pic also? Your picture says 2019 maybe its just older and jackson beefed up, got a tat, and got a tan.

Haha was thinking the exact same thing. Saivion looks great and is a freak, but no chance in hell he ran a 4.5, and probably not a 4.6 either. But ain’t nothin wrong with a 4.7 at that age and size. I’m so damn excited for this class of edge rushers. We may not have any single guy you can point to as someone who will definitively be elite, but we’ve got like 5 dudes who each have a legitimate chance at it. The odds of that group producing fewer than 2 legitimate studs are pretty low imo. Now if we can just close on maason....

Man...our front 7 is going to be absolutely terrifying in a few years.
