Les Miles would've had a better class but he don't know how to coach so it means nothing..

I think the stipend is how players legitimately acquire the Chargers. The players get 6oo/month for 9 months each year. They get a "deal" on a lease and use some of their stipend to pay for their car. On recruiting visits, the players tell the recruits how it works around Tuscaloosa with the stipend, jobs, low payment car loans, etc. Coaches don't have to say or do anything regarding payments and cars while recruiting. Self perpetuating recruiting tactic. (note, all the above is IMO)

And in 3 years he would've turned it into a 7-5 team

Y'all have to give up with this fence thing. The logic implies that we shouldn't be getting the top guys from Texas, Tennessee, Florida, etc. A kid can go wherever he desires.

Les would have gotten us another 8-4 season tops. Les is finished man, the free market is showing that plain as day.

If we still had les, we wouldn't have Phillips, Shelvin, even be in contention with Marvin. O is doing well considering all the turmoil

Hey you can't blame Les for anything as far as recruiting, this staff has had enough time to right the ship. I feel this is anomaly in this years class, and winning will solve some of our issues. We have to recruit the best athletes from across the nation, that fits our plans, and we have to own the state again. But you can't blame this on Les because we would have finished in the top 3 for recruiting class.

Well most of the guys committed were committed before Miles got fired.

So i agree , he would have this class easily in top 3

Most of the guys on board, came on board with Les as the head coach. So if LSU didn't make a change, there would never have been a period where LSU was in limbo.

It's the risk you take when making change. Kids are recruited at much younger ages and for longer periods of time.

I think it's actually telling we have kept so many. With an entire new staff, things could look much worse.

I hope he isn't so LSU can save some of that payment money we could spend on another asst. or two
