Granted, I think Arch Manning is still very very very good, and deserves all the praise he is getting for playing the way he has.

But I think Howard:

1) is a better athlete.
2) has better ball placement
3) is an exceptional off-plane thrower
4) has more polished mechanics
5) is a quicker decision maker

Howard & Nussmeier are actually very similar players.

I agree
Would like to see him get a little bigger but from what I've seen so far I think Howard is the better prospect.

That's not a stretch. Certainly plays on a better team with better weapons. He is a year older (or a least a grade).

How does he compare to Eli Holstein? Who will be the top QB in Louisiana in 2023?

As long as we keep the Nuss and Howard commits I'll be happy.

Neither of those commits are going anywhere.

I’m also higher on Walker but he is a year older. Both are definitely 5 star QBs. It kinda sucks they’re back to back classes. Walker could deter Arch from coming.

I think these guys ultimately cost us Manning. If either one of them pans out you've got a bit of a log jam of talented QBs. My guess is Arch looks for somewhere with more immediacy of playing time.

In the traditional sense of "athlete" sure.

Dont agree. WH doesnt (because he doesnt need to) reset his feet a lot on throws.

Or he is fine sitting behind older guys and learning. Mannings seem to be very level headed when it comes to their careers.

With all the hold backs, etc., they could very well be the same age. Despite being a grade younger, though, Arch has a year as a starter under his belt and this is Walker's first year starting.

Newman is obviously much smaller and plays a lower level of competition.

Peyton Manning was a freak athlete.

Being able to run around is literally one aspect of athleticism.

Impossible to say this early on. Howard is 4 games into starting his high school career and is a junior.

Manning is 4 games into his 2nd year starting and is only a sophomore. Lots of time to go before we can make any real assumption who the better prospect really is.

Whatever happens rest of this year and next though - LA QB production has picked up MASSIVELY now when you're talking TJ Finley, Walker Howard, Arch Manning, Just missing a guy in 2021 class there over a 4-year stretch.

There’s not enough information to answer that question.

Peyton Manning was a highly coordinated athlete, there is no denying that. Physically, he was average at best, if we are being nice. There is no way he could be labeled as a freak athlete, with that in mind.
