He's Duke Riley. Physical - not the greatest of athletes - great work ethic and football knowledge. Will develop into a starter by junior or senior year and will play in the NFL. Mark my words, this kid may not make an impact in his first year like some of the more noteworthy prospects, but he will be a BIGTIME player for LSU at some point.

I’ll take a similar path to duke as well. Duke was depth for a few years then became the guy

He was a beast in the AL vs MS All-Star game.

That’s why you hope for out of your 3 stars.

Aranda isnhigh on the guy, and he’s a great LB coach.

McCallum played as well in that All Star game as anyone.

He should be an excellent linebacker in a few years down the road.

Totally different from Duke

Reminds me of McKinney from ms state couple years back, he has a chance to contribute in 2020

Actually love our lb class, just missing that long quick twitch edge guy

forgot the old man poster that went on a rant about McCallum the other day....hopefully he don't see this....or maybe hopefully he does and brings some amusement to the afternoon!

Guy was a legit grade-A DBAG!

He was the best player on the field in the all star game. All over the field the whole game.

Agree.

I was thinking Riley could ah e almost been a strong safety.

Maybe op was suggesting the same trajectory as Riley.

Sounds like the kid has a heart condition that needed surgery.

He’s nothing like Duke Riley but he fits the mold of what Aranda wants in an ILB

I didn't mean physically like Duke Riley. I meant a 3-star that will develop into a great LSU LB over time.

I remember saying the same about Riley when he was signed and people bitched about having a 3-star signee.

It's a personality type. Watch McCallum's video presentation he made - I can't remember where I saw it - but he's just got that great attitude. You know he's going to put the work in and eventually be a leader for this team.

I love 3-stars like that. Enough athleticism and oodles of HEART!

Wrong.

This kid was a monster last night and he's going to make a name for himself sooner rather than later here at LSU.

It was a diagnostic cath. He's fine. Turns out he has asthma.

When he suits up for LSU he's going to give opponents heart conditions.
