Not to be too dramatic here, but how does Bama do it consistently year in/year out? They get exactly who they want/need position wise, no matter where the kids are from.

Maybe you've missed it, but they win....A LOT.

How can Duke cherry pick players in basketball?

Having the best coach to ever walk the sidelines helps a little. Don't like his lying arse or his school, but the truth is the truth.

They pick the best player at every position and then all the other schools pick from what's left. That will continue until Saban leaves and/or they stop winning at this rate.

They have the strongest value proposition for elite recruits in the country. It's hard to combat that. It'll likely remain that way until saban is gone.

I don't know. Maybe it's the national championships. It's such a mystery.

They go to the Playoff/BCS/NCG every year.

And every player recruited/signed by their coach since 2007 has won a Natty.

How is this so hard to understand?

Did you happen to see basically every other top recruit In Louisiana signed with LSU or did you just breeze right over that fact? Clown

How is this even a question? Saban can say to every recruit we guarantee you get one of these and holds both hands out with all of those rings.

they play for national championships on an ANNUAL basis.... LSU hasn't really been relevant to the conversation of playing for a national championship, late in the season, in over half a decade...

it's not that hard to figure out... they have some of the best facilities, they are one of the best teams every year, they always put talent in the NFL, and they are coached by the best to ever do it...

If they "cherry pick", they would have gotten more than Ish. They would have gotten Stingley and Emery and likely Thomas too. But they didn't because they don't cherry pick. They get a lot of who they want, but not everyone.

LSU signed 8 of the states top 10. They lost Ish (who they wanted, but clearly has some questions) and Harris who they never really contended for.

I'd gladly go 8 for 10 each year!
