Not to beat a dead horse, but is there a real possibility of Alabama being put on probation by the NCAA for all the shite that's been revealed over the past few months? Wouldn't the prospect of something like that be an important factor for a recruit to consider?

Have you noticed how everytime the Bama allegations come up they are quickly snuffed out? Nothing is going to come of that.

Exactly. Bama is their face of college football and Saban is their hero. Long as he's there, nothing happens.

60/40 is complete b.s. Of the football fans up here, Monroe is 99% LSU fans. Many are "fair weather" fans, and many do support ULM or Tech....but when ULM isn't on, the LSU game is. (Even at ULM's "grove", all tv's are on the LSU game when LSU plays before ULM) Frankly, I know of 2 people who are Bama fans in this town. Everybody else I know of supports the tigers. Only thing I can figure with such a statement is that the very few Bama fans in this area are somehow "around Hootie" and are being much more vocal.

He said last night that there are people from both sides pushing him... I believe that there are 99% LSU fans up there, but he said recently that has changed in the area.

When asked if it has always been that way, with alot of Bama fans there-

quote:

NO! Thats recent!

He thinks it's cause of their recent success.

don't get me wrong.. i think saban really wants hootie; but saban knows how badly LSU needs him so he will do everything it takes to get him at Bama. not a bad chess move
