I'm heading to watch this game this evening. Is there any potential recruits I should looking for? This is my first Junior College game.

Hinds traditionally has pretty good talent, SW not so much but its thw MS JUCO league so it is still a year in and year out basis.

Just going off of 247 but these are the only guys listed:
QB Morton DT 6-4 210 WKU (Hinds)
CB Dabney 6'1 170 (Hinds)
WR Todd 6'5 203 (Hinds)

If you just ask around most will be more than happy to tell you and especially at JUCO the eye test is pretty good. Expect a lot of points and missed assignments still. Its JUCO and its early still in the year for them.

Yeah, when I played baseball at Hinds I think we had 4 to 5 NFL starters on the football team. This was back when the head coaches wife was the WRs coach.

I think their daughter is the cheerleading coach...I know she told us her dad was the head coach, I'll have to double check that

My favorite player had to be Fred Smoot at that time...

She coached the kickers up until he retired last year! Now he’s the “AD” if you want to call it that! He has backed off recently but for the first while he still called most of the shots over the new HC. But Tylan is fun to watch he can sling the ball all over the place but the lack of experience at wide out is hurting him this year.. had 3 wide outs go D1 last year so life isn’t as easy this season. The new RB has looked very good so keep an eye on him as well. The team is very young this year so every week someone new makes their name known. SW isn’t a very good team so y’all should enjoy the night but Hinds seems to play down to their competition more times than not

Neither team is very good this year unfortunately. SW was picked to finish in the bottom of the division and hinds got beat by 50 opening week.

Not about Hinds or SW but keeping it in juco I’m currently watching Co-Lin vs Northwest and have noticed two things.. first off I had no idea Malik Heath ended up at CL but damn does he look good and secondly commit TK McClendon I assume is the back up tight end rn for Co-Lin..... thought maybe he was injured but he has been in on special teams.. after the not existent year last year I expected him to look much better this year but damn second string behind a kid who does not look good at all is pretty worrisome

It was against last chance U (they might as well change their name to that ??)

It's been a fun game so far, hope I can make more...long drives from the coast makes for a long night

Yes and if played in a later week like normal it would’ve been a better game! I’m not sure why they played so early this season but starting off the season against a very strong EMCC team with how young Hinds is wasn’t ideal
