What’s better and why ?

Multiple smaller (5’10-6’2) WRs who’s very quick, agile, Also very good route runners

Bigger (6’3-6’6) WRs who’s long, okay route runners, great red zone threats.

The reason I ask is because we have all these big receivers and still suck in the red zone TD wise, no one can get open.
I think we should look for more speedsters as opposed to giants

What you guys think?

I think the real problem has nothing to do with WR

To be honest, getting them the ball wasn’t the main problem. They had way too many drops.

I don't understand why the questionable hands guys like Sullivan are in there. Where's chase/Marshall?

Yeah Marshall doesnt get enough playing time.
We need technicians at without like chase and Marshall.
Also cant wait for Palmer.

But they don't even throw the ball to dee Andersen. He should be getting some back shoulder throws.
Really need a new oc, if ed o can't see it after this game well

What advantage does a tall receiver have if he catches the ball with his elbows? Do they have bad hands or just to lazy to practice catching a ball at its highest point.

Ideally we should be able to get a few of each. They fill different roles in the offense. The more versatile your personnel is, the more you can do scheme wise- assuming you are actually willing to do different things. But as someone else said above me, the receivers really aren't the problem. We have good receivers. We just don't utilize them. Marshall, Chase, and Anderson are all number one receiver type guys. Marshall and Chase weren't both 5 stars by accident. They can ball. We also have a smaller, quicker slot receiver in Dillon, a huge target in Sullivan, and that's not even mentioning Jefferson who has been our most effective receiver all year. Also, as someone else said, we're going to add a legit take the top off the defense deep threat to the mix next season in trey palmer (he's electric).

We gotta get these guys the ball. LSU needs Better play calling, a much better offensive scheme, better protection, better quarterback play and waaaay fricking better quarterback coaching.

Chase and Marshall are freshman. We do not have enough time to throw against the best defensive lines.

The receiver pipeline and depth chart is plenty good enough. Need dramatic upgrade at running back.

Jerry Jeudy was the WR that worried me the most yesterday and he did his damage. He is fast as lightning and also is a good possesion receiver because he is so agile. Excellent route runner.

His 247 specs were 6'1" 177 lbs...

IMHO we definitely need that guy that can stretch the field just because he is on it. We have not had that guy in a while.

I think he still trying to get in sync with the two young receivers by as much as he targets Jefferson and Sullivan almost like he gets more practice with Jefferson and Sullivan

The big WR can’t get any seperation. They should be running fades in the red zone. Anderson ran the wrong route on the pick against Miss St.

Did you not see CEH last night? He was our only hope on offense besides Jefferson. You’re in denial if you don’t think he’s a great back.

We will have 2 great/elite backs in the next class as well though. The problem hasn’t been and will not be at RB

I think we still have both the remnants and ongoing fascinations with measurables (height/weight). We see it some with OL, DL, WR, and RB.

Etienne would've been offered in May if it wasn't for that obsession.

This right here, this is the reason several good athletes have slipped away, and will continue to happen until this mind set changes... sad part it's not just in football either.

There’s really no answer to this. One of the best receivers is the game is A. Brown and he’s what, 5’10? But how many other elite 5’10 receivers are out there? At the same time, maybe the greatest wr to ever play was 6’4 Randy Moss. It’s the same thing with every position, you can find elite players at every size, but typically bigger guys bring more upside. If Sullivan and Anderson had the hands of Justin Jefferson then they might be looking like draft picks this year. Didn’t anderson single handedly dominate the Tech game?
