The bash would be best served hiring an events coordinator just one time to show them how to run it. It could be so much better than it is. The intention is great but it could be so much better.
I stopped going but from speaking with people who go every year it seems the same problems persist.
If you are thinking about going, consider it a $45 donation to the LSU football program. Nothing wrong with that

i will be there for the 3rd straight year. the first year they actually had bottles of beer (plastic) last year they had the smaller cups, but you could get 2 or so at a time.
some advice is bring a coke flat when you go to get food. can pile much more up and only stand in line once...but agreed, mediocre food at best.
im hoping, having shelled out a few more $ for a table, that it eases some of the pains from past experience.
its a least worth it to sit and talk sports and not go to work...while drinking!

It's all covered. Food lines two years ago were bad. Lines last year were alot better, and they are using the same format to serve food this year as last year.
I didn't go last year, but from what i was told there wasn't much of a problem with lines. Though it's called "Taste of the Town" so a little of everything, not alot of everything...

They had plastic bottled beer for a recruiting bash and it worked out very good. But that was only a one time thing because of the saints playing in BR.
The following year they changed beer and food and it was a clusterfrick of epidemic proportions. They had beer trucks which poured draft beer (which takes time) then guys would try and make conversation with some of the cute girls serving beer slowing things down even more.
The food that one year was the most disorganized thing ever.
However, last year, it was much much better for beer and food. So I'm hoping they only did minor tinkering to the plan and layout.

Minimal changs to last year's layout wit respect to the food area. Will be posting this years layout shortly.
Stage flipped 180 is the biggest change from last year.
