Coach O needs 3 of "his" classes under his belt. He has had one really good class and is working on two more. Fehoko provides a bonafide starter in the trenches for 2018. Gives time for a youngster to develop. We do lose Herron and Lacatoure. Need to sign another stud dt in the 2018 class and the Sopsher kid is a must for '19. When the trenches are "legit" we will be legit.

Question is: how much does this make up for losing Marvin Wilson?

Only time will tell but it softens the blow....

I think it makes up for MW for a little while. If MW is a three and out player then BF could fill that gap if he stays three (one ineligible and two playing yrs). If BH only plays one yr then we have a small gap...

Doesn't Amite have a badass dt on the rise or is he a linebacker/de?

Thanks.

We need to get him based on everything I've heard.

Can anyone tell me the reason why Fehoko left Texas Tech to begin with?

He was quoted at his announcement as wanting to be developed the next 2-3 years in the SEC.

He went there because his brothers were there. His brothers are gone and Texas tech doesn't play defense. He wants to play somewhere that he can receive coaching and where they care about stopping the opponent from scoring.

Poor coaching and felt like he wasn't getting developed. He only went there to follow family, but now is setting sights on NFL and wants best coaching he can get to get there. Pete Jenkins big selling point here.

He's a talented player needing to be coached up some. I think we see a DL of Lawrence/Alexander/Fehoko in 2018.

Can Fehoko line up at NT, or is he a bit too light for that?

If Shelvin gets in shape he is unblockable.

If Shelvin qualifies I think Fehoko is DE in a 3-4. You should have Alexander and Shelvin at NT for 2018. Fehoko and Lawrence at DE with Logan, Thomas, Farell, Moffit, +the 2018 recruits.

I can't answer the question about MW, but I am extremely excited about Fehoko!

I think you are exaggerating our need for dlinemen. He might add some solid depth, but he might also never see much playing time with the quality of talent there.

You can never have enough dlinemen. It is what seperates Alabama from everyone else.

Both Fehoko and Wilson will likely enter the 2020 draft, so yes this does easily soften the blow.
