Burton responded:
“When coach joe Brady took over the offense”

The addition of Joe Brady should attract other recruits like Haynes king, Rakim Jarret, Kendall Milton, and many more

A Joe Brady offense will be a lot of fun with these players. I predict after the first game we will have our maximum number of commitments

He is going to be a huge "game changer" for us. And recruiting also.

For most people it's more of the case of wanting to see it before we believe type of thing. You can't fault anyone for having that train of thought when that's been the story for the last 6 years every off-season and then the season gets here and the offense is still shite

Yes you can. You can see the steps the coaching staff is taking to implement a new system. To not acknowledge it is denial. Joe Brady is the spread guy that shouldn't ever have to buy another beer in Baton Rouge again. We'll all owe him for the new offense.

So, SE is the OC in title only? Basically Joe Brady is the OC just not named as such? Well, I hope this mentality by recruits is contagious and some olinemen catch it. Got to have the beef up front so these guys can showcase their abilities.

From the outside he seems to be OC in waiting since SE is of advanced age and seems to never have really wanted to be OC in the first place.

As long as JB delivers a good looking offense next year I think he might move up the year after.

Yep, and then it'll be a great two years until he gets poached by the NFL.

If Joe Brady is running the offense, why is he only the wr coach? Why the song and dance?

He's not only the WR coach. He's the Passing Game Coordinator, because he's putting in a new passing system for our offense, which is why Burton is excited.

Pretty much this. I loved Les as a coach but after every spring game when he would say the offense was kept basic it would make me cringe.

Getting the ball out of Burrow's hands faster and keeping the defense on their heels is a great way to aid pass protection. They can't tee off downhill with their pass rush.

That is what we've been saying for years. We have decent-to-good OL talent, we just need to help them out when they are over matched by Bama.

Because he’s never been a coordinator in major college football before and certainly never called plays before. There’s more to being a good OC than having a good offensive mind

I don't think anyone is denying that it appears to be a step in a different direction. But a single play hasn't been called by this offensive staff in a game and LSU fans have hear for 10 years every spring that the offense was going to be more "explosive." Most notably, two years ago when O' took "steps (in changing) the coaching staff to implement a new system" by hiring Canada. Four games into the season O was at odds with the new offense.

It's not unreasonable for people to be very optimistic but also choosing to take a wait and see approach.
