Why?

Sure we have spots and they can start immediately but there's zero development.

Brad Davis hasn't been here long enough to know that.

But is it really fair to try and make this assessment of the new OL coach after only two games? Even the veteran players have admitted they'd have liked to have had more time with him, before the season began.
His previous boss (Coach Sam Pittman) is certainly one of THE authorities of his craft, and very capable of assessing if an OL coach is worthy of a hire, FWIW...

Ill bitch about our oline, but we have started 8 guys in 2 games. Im more pissed at the older dudes that still look lost.

If O was smart he would go hire his former coach Fertita who is now on staff with Louisville
He knows offense and he can also recruit

Let's face it: Offensive Lineman are THE KEY to success, period.

No, not that simple internet tough guy. Why in the hell would an offensive lineman come to LSU with the overall lack of development that has been at LSU for years? If a comparable school has better player development (especially at my position) and my goal is to get to the NFL, then it’s an easy decision. Why do you think that Alabama stacks up 4 and 5 star talent that we simply cannot get?

3 OL from the team 2 years ago are day 1 starters in the NFL. They were developed at LSU.

Our former starting LT was a DE coached up into a quality LT then took the LT job for Kentucky.

I'm glad we can put an end to this ridiculous narrative. The problem is lack of talent due to taking 2 OL a year.

I know what you’re saying, but we have 3 OL playing in the NFL from 2019, and believe it or not Ed Ingram will play also. I know it looks bleak but we cannot blame a coach that’s been here for a short minute. Sam P was one of the best OL coaches and he hired Davis to coach his OL on his staff.

Which is why I said “overall development “. So we got a couple of guys into the league. The sun shines on a dogs arse every once in a while. You are an idiot if you think the linemen we put out are on par with the other “comparable “ teams in the conference. Even Mississippi State and Arkansas have put out better players. I’ll stand by my statement.

This isn't true. Saadiq was a healthy scratch and the center for denver is barely holding on.

I do agree he did a good job with dare and damien lewis.

Cregg wasn't a horrible technical coach, he just couldn't recruit for shite.
