The young man has said nothing. Some of you people act so damn entitled and expect 18 year olds to make the biggest decision of their lives on your time table. you will know what he intends to do like everyone else, when he has made his choice on his time table.

Reading comprehension and thinking before you respond are acquired skills you may not yet have mastered. Re-read my message. I asked if Reid set the date for the announcement. If he did, he created the expectation that he would, you know, announce. If he decided not to, he should give notice. Otherwise, normal people say what I said - I'm going to assume we are set and not keep waiting to see if the kid might announce after his stated deadline arrived.

If he mislead Wade and Wade created space by encouraging Gray to enter the transfer portal that had a real world impact. Maybe he didn't do that but a similar thing happened last year with Cisse.

If it is some dumb blogger jumping the gun to gain clicks, there needs to be some consequences.

I think these dynamics constitute "drama" and they damage the brand of the sport.

I'd still like to get PG Wheeler.

I'd be fine with that. I'm curious to know what Reid gives you more than Colbert. A good PG might be more valuable with the mix of players we currently have.

I like the team we have, especially if Days is returning.

LSU needs a true PG that can penetrate and dish, Wheeler can score as well.

How do we know he didn't? The only people that "need" notice are the staffs still involved in his recruitment. And even if he didn't give notice to those staffs, that's his prerogative. It's his decision alone to make and no one is entitled notice of anything until the kid decides to inform them. It may not be the *professional" thing to do but still it's his personal freedom to do so. He's wouldn't be breaking any laws or rules.

Honestly, is there really anymore damage to be done to the "brand" of major college basketball? The trials that involved Wade put a pretty public light on what most honest fans and critics knew has been going on for years. If you want integrity in your college basketball don't expect to win anything of substance on the top levels.
As much as we despise it and think it's unfair, the "brand" of LSU basketball has already been tarnished in the minds of many as long as Wade is here. Despite their being no evidence payments actually happened, it really was Wade on those tapes. Lack of evidence doesn't constitute actual innocence. It just means you can't(shouldn't)be punished.

All that said I do actually agree with you from a personal standpoint. I'd prefer Reid handle this the way you've laid out.
