I'll be at the game. Looking forward to our defense trying to stop Speedy. Could get ugly. Who else is highly regarded on Karr besides Noil and Willis?

First you guys had to try to cover Malachi in a scrimmage, now you're gonna try to contain Speedy. That's crazy.

With such a shitty district schedule recently, St. Paul's has tried to expose itself to top-level teams early on in order to break the team in before district play.

It should be pretty ugly, regardless of whether Speedy and Willis play.

Might head that way also. SPS defense will be good for the district, don't know outside that. Offense will struggle, changed to the spread. Spread needs a really good QB, don't think the kid they have is there. Also saw them at the curtis scrimmage, not a true spread, just throwing it side to side trying to create one on ones with gaines and brumfield.those two will have to get a little daylight to keep SPS close because they both can fly.Might have to put gaines on defense because he may be the only guy in the state that could catch speedy.

This

Mandeville is the only other decent team in the district. SPS scrimmaged Curtis, jamboree vs Rummel, open with Karr and then play Jesuit in the dome. That's a lot better than they will see in district. Haven't lost a district game in a while but never seem up to the tougher competition in the playoffs

I don't know how you can call it a shitty district. There are only a couple teams that are really good in every district. This district had two back to back semi finalist in Mandeville who lost both times to the state champ in close games.
I don't think Westgate, Parkway, Ruston, West Monroe,Covington,Central, Catholic High and Rummel would call it a shitty district.
The schedule SPS plays seems to work well for them. They play the spread teams (Karr & Mandeville) early. You can track those spread teams easy. Karr and Mandy lose every year to SPS early then rep themselves into good teams and make a run in the playoffs while SPS is playing basketball.

Mandeville is not the same team as the last two seasons. Lost a lot of talent. But Lecompte and gang will find a way.

Doesn't like half of Karr's starting defense have D1 offers? Plus you have Anthony Jones and a few others on offense. I feel that everybody else is playing for 2nd place this year in 4A. I'm hoping to make it to the St. Aug vs. Karr game later in the year. Tons of talent all over that field.
