actually our dline depth is a major concern. I think he sees he can get on the field pretty quickly. we only have 1 linemen (Uko) that has any real game experience.

What about after this year, when all four on the two deep have playing experience, along with a fifth like Townsend. That is Uko, Tavai, Woods, Heyward and Townsend - all of whom will have a year's playing experience ahead of him. Don't get me wrong - this kid looks special, so it probably won't matter.
Anyway, SC has a lot of momentum going right now. Kiffin will need to close on the field this year.

I really wonder if the staff chases Pagano now. They had some kind of falling out because Pagano was serious about us and then our 247 guy said he didn't think he had a committable offer.

SC badly needed a dominant DL or two in this class. This dude Vanderdoes was beastly by all accounts.

It's not that they can't or won't pan out, it's more like our guys were getting gassed in the 4th quarter against your Ducks and we let you back in that game last season.
Fresh DL chasing down the Oregon QB d'jour can preclude that sort of thing, so we can step on your mallard necks and put you away after we get a big lead.
You know this is huge for us. Just as big as getting DAT was for y'all last season. Karma.
