Early signees - According to 24/7 all but ONE commit will sign next Wednesday

It looks like 24/7 has updated the commits to show who the early signees will be. They don't appear to have updated the early enrollees. They don't show anything for John Emery and I think Dandy Don's said that he would be attending classes at LSU in January.

According to the list in the link, only one commit will not sign early - Maurice Hampton.


The "sunrise" symbol indicates an early signee.

The "clock" symbol indicates an early enrollee.

An early signee will sign with the college but not enroll at the school until the summer or fall of the next year just like as if they had signed during the February signing period. Once they sign the school is on the hook for that scholarship even if the player never enrolls in school. If the player changes his mind and goes elsewhere he would have to go by the transfer rules of sitting out a year or attending a smaller classification of school.

An early enrollee will sign early and start attending classes in January. They will be available to get a head start on fellow signees by fully participating in offseason workouts and spring practice.
