Sedrick Van Pran, is obviously a recruit we don't want going out of state does anyone know how we stand with him at this point in the recruiting process? Thx in advance.

I think we waited a little too long to press. Kid is definitely leaning to UGA right now.

Sedrick Van Pran,

LSU wants him, but if he goes elsewhere LSU is getting a lot of national interest and could find someone else to take that spot. Looks like Dumervil is getting some CB's to LSU and he is a monster, very powerful and very good footwork. Not as agile as Paris, but much more powerful. There's a few others that a very goo Olinmen that have interest in LSU. I heard great things about Bradford. We need Ingram back too. Oeaux is really shaping up that oline from when he took over. Van Pran would be an upgrade too, but if not I'm sure Oeaux will find another somewhere.

That is pretty cringe-worthy. Are you trying to say ‘O-oh?’ It’s O or Eaux, not both combined.

Someone on here reported he had shut down his recruitment and was sticking with Ohio St. I have not been able to find anything to confirm this. On his 247 profile it still list him as committed to Ohio St, his interest levels for other schools list him as cool for LSU and no interest to all other schools. LINK /
As far as I know LSU still has a shot, maybe a long shot, but at least some kind of shot. I think Paris will be a much better pass-blocker at the college level than a run blocker. And as concerning run blocking, in the SEC, I think he has a little bit of work to be a really good one. Right now, at the HS level, when he run blocks he is grabbing a couple hands full of jersey and just man handling guys a lot smaller. He won't be able to do this in the SEC.

I know nothing from inside Ohio StAte. Having said that I cannot imagine a kid from Cincinnati who is already committed switches to LSU Ryan Day cannot afford the optics of that kind of loss in his first year.

I don't think Ashaad comes if we get Milton or Evans, but I also don't think SVP and Ashaad are necessarily a package deal. Not that those ever work out anyway. SVP is a smart kid and keeping all of his options open. Might be the best center in the country so I hope we get him.
