D. George committed to Bama...
Guess Little Nicky really wants Evans bad.

I'd rather LSU nab Milton and a better OLman myself.

Gott love recruiting.

Let’s see if the package deal holds up. I bet it does.

I never really bought that Evans was as interested in us as he might have wanted the public to believe. Still gonna be interesting to see what he does. I don't think this makes him a slam dunk to Bama, I think he's gonna play the game all the way to signing day. His buddy is smart to jump on the Bama offer even if it's written in pencil.

Would love LSU to nab Milton. I know Bama RB Najee Harris is from Cali and a few hours away from where Milton is. If Bama gets Evans, maybe Ricks and LSU can put pressure to get him to commit to the Tigers. Milton's dad loves some UGA though.

re: D. George committed to Bama...
there must be a little extra in that deal because i doubt george sees playing time at bama

he'd have a much higher likelihood of playing at LSU though

Evans is going to UGA

He’s not gonna follow Trey Sanders or John Emery

If Evans really went to UGA over Bama that would be much better for us. I don’t think Milton is going to Bama and that would probably immediately make it just a Ohio St. and LSU battle for Milton.

George was always a package player to get in better with Evans.

Not sure LSU can afford to take another project OL guy so atleast now LSU doesnt have to go the Rodney Sopsher ploy this cycle.

I really hope the staff tries to make the play for Bijan Robinson on his official later on this summer. Him and his teammate Lathan Ranson are the better package deal this go around.

I don't know much about this guy, but Is there a chance that the recruiting services haven't caught up to his talent? His offer list is very good.

It's a little far-fetched to explain that away by saying all of these schools are only offering to land Evans because most of them have no shot.

George has actually been steadily dropping in the rankings if my memory is correct. I think mostly due to his weight and mobility.

Despite what he says, if y’all think Texas or A&M is out of the race, you’re delusional. I bet he goes to Texas when it’s all said and done

Damieon is a mammoth human being. He can toss around d-linemen with his size and strength. He has improved tremendously since this time last year when he played RT. He will be at LT for North Shore this year. We’ll see if his footwork has improved. He’s a great kid with ties to New Orleans, but I’d be lying if I said he was an amazing athlete. Best of luck to him at Bama. Hope he continues to work and gets to play there. You can check him out along with Evans, Davis, Banks, Harris and others who will probably get LSU offers when North Shore hosts Katy in week one on ESPNU.

re: D. George committed to Bama...
That’s what I expected to happen so that’s fine. Saban can just about pick and choose his players so of course he’s going to take the #1 RB in the class. He offered George too because he knows he can make him at least a serviceable gaurd on the o-line so it’s not like he just wasting a scholarship like Rodney Sophser would have been. There was no way Evans was coming to LSU with Emery and Davis right ahead of him. He still has Trey Sanders and Naje Harris to contend with. If he was smart he would have gone to an up and coming SEC team like Tennessee where he would have been the feature back from day 1 getting 15-20 carries a game.

6-6, 348 as an OT and ran a 6.00 40 and 5.33 shuttle.......Cochran has his work cutout for him with George. This is clearly a move for Evans.

George is a absolute beast in a phone booth but he lacks the footwork and general athleticism to play tackle in college. He’s a guard all the way moving forward

Can't teach size.

A program like Bama can afford to work on him for a few years and then plug him in as a redshirt sophomore or junior. Doesn't sound like he'd be much use to us given our depth issues.

I don't buy that this is a move just to get Evans. He's a raw talent, but a talent nonetheless.

That's not how it works at OT. Lots of kids have size, very few have the athleticism required to go with the size. Every LSU fan should be well aware of that. I'm not gonna dog on the kid or pretend to know what the bama coaches are thinking, but I would be absolutely shocked if George signs an LOI at Bama and Evans doesn't.

It was clear why Saban accepted his commitment. The gumps are saying he's a 4 star over on the SECr.

He’s ranked like 431 on 247. He might be a decent OT, I honestly haven’t watched anything on him to tell, but he’s no 4 star at 431...
