By my count, if as expected Greedy and White declare for the NFL we would have 68 scholarship players.
2 QBs, 5 RBs, 10 WRs, 4 TE, 12 OL, 10 DL, 12 LBs, 9 DBs and 4 specialists (assuming both Growden and Von Rosenberg are on scholarship, and Culp still is?).

Obviously to not exceed 85 and sign 25 in '19, we would have to have 8 others separate. I'd much rather some processing over losing guys like Lawrence and Fehoko.

Usually when a walk-on is granted a scholarship, it is with the knowledge that it is year-to-year and it will be revoked if needed.

Are you still including Taylor in that LB group?

Is Growden still pooch punting or has ZVR taken over all the chores?

Lawrence could go early if he keeps playing like he is, I doubt Fehoko does.

Lewis could go if he cuts out the penalties, he has more ability than most guards in college. Same for Fulton if he keeps improving. Those two may seem like longshots right now, but could emerge into those types of players in the second half of the season.

But besides that, there are enough processing candidates. Stingley and Kardell are likely to beat out someone at their positions and cause attrition, unless you have depth issues with Fulton and Lewis (and Ingram) not coming back at those spots. Chase could move to the slot in the spring, and knock out one of the WRs from playing.

I am almost positive the answer is 0 because Burrow counted as the 25th signee last year.

Side question... when must the 85 limit be met? Is it at all times (as soon as the signees fax in LOI)? Is it at start of Fall semester or before Game 1? Some other time?

In one sense, it's at all times. I mean you're not on scholarship until you actually receive scholarship money. But in the context I think you mean, it is fall camp. With EEs you can't have more EEs than room you have under the 85, but if a player has graduated by the previous semester and he is leaving the team you can add an EE to substitute.

Correct, but walk-ons are told up front that they may lose their scholarships.
