I wouldnt be suprised if you saw Damian Williams get an offer if we miss on a few more.
I think Kincade would get an offer before Williams would.

Unfortunately I think Kincade is just too small for our coaches to offer at QB. He's got everything else you want in a QB, but 6'0" looks like a pretty generous listing to me.

Jerrard Randall doesn't exactly have great measurables.

True. But Randall was also a late developmental offer that fell into out laps when we had already signed 2 other QB and happened to have an open spot after NSD. And Kincade is still smaller than Randall is.

not saying kincaide is comparable in talent or not but russell wilson measured in at 5'10 and change at the combine and was drafted in the 3rd or 4th round.
played one year in big ten. good conference.

It seems like that is what it looks like, but I was more responding to the guy that brought up Damian Williams. While Williams is 215, he is still only 6'1" and I doubt he is that tall.
To me, I think Kincade would do well in the SEC after I saw him twice last year. Also, I saw Kenny Hill (the recent QB commit to A&M) last night as my brother shut them down on the mound and I think he could compete at QB based on his size, but I think his athleticism moves him to WR

I'm talking about if we miss on a few more, including Kincade. Damian is pretty good. Not top of the boards but he's real good.

are you questioning the coaches?
Posted on 5/4/12 at 11:15 am to Larry Hollins
Yeah, sure. I have no problem questioning the coaches (contrary to the little box you'd like to put me in). I just happen to agree with their "wait-and-see" approach with Massington.

That's the guy I want. He's very athletic and is an efficient passer.
Completed 243 of 386 passes (63.0%)for 3,006 yards with 25 TD's & only nine INT's. Also ran for 1,383 yards and 24 TD's.
If Les wants a duel threat, this one sounds great to me. Kid is also very smart and in a great program that has produced some top notch D1 QB's.

Agree Kincaide would get offered before Williams(though it's possible Williams could kill the camp and beat him out) and Kincaide would likely commit shortly thereafter leaving no room for a miss.
Another guy to watch is Shane McCarley. Even smaller than Williams and Kincaide but is really proving his skill at camps and Elite 11's this year. His film is also good.
I've also heard we're much closer to USCe for Mitch than most of the public word is saying. I've seen some that have said we lead despite what has been put out publically. Not trying to get anyone's hopes up or create expectations, just putting out some of the word going around. The vets in the recruiting game know how up and down these types of things can be.

I would love for Bateman or Mitch to be in this class. I'm really hoping that LSU will get one of them. I think our chance may be a little better with Mitch. Although, I know USCe is much closer to home.
I've heard the name Max Staver thrown around. What do y'all think about him? Do you think he is good enough to end up getting an offer, if we miss out on some of these guys?

I actually like Staver a good bit. He's starting to get more attention now. As the dominoes continue to fall he'll be in that 2nd wave of guys that get a lot of big offers quickly.

I definitely agree with you on this.
I wonder if LSU will try to get him to camp this summer. I read on another site a while back that he loves LSU. That's a good start, right?

Mitch is going to be competing with some other big names in Charlotte this week. Chad Simmons has this free Scout preview up.

Brice Ramsey (Kingsland, Ga.-Camden County) UGA commit.
Riley Ferguson (Matthews, N.C.-Butler)
Connor Mitch (Raleigh, N.C.-Wakefield)
Carliss Parker (Statesville, N.C.-Statesville)
Bucky Hodges (Virginia Beach, Va.-Salem - Virgina Tech commitment)
Will Grier (Charlotte, N.C.-Davidson Day - 2014

Scout is reporting he did real well at the Columbus, OH Elite 11. They said he helped himself the most out of the guys competing.
Big, strong kid who they say has a good arm. Scout profile

Staver is a very solid prospect with alot of upside. Auburn, Bama, and LSU are all pretty close to offering, depending on how things go with their top target(s)
