And get a win this year, get the damn fence around the state back up

OK, you need 2 X 4's or labor?

Saban recruits Louisiana to keep them away from LSU. He knows his main advantage is recruiting and LSU the team that will cause problems for him if the top Louisiana kids all go to LSU.

Sorry, not my expertise...but, I'm all in on that winning solves a lot of problems...my hopes are high...

We need to make it to the playoffs

Or maybe he just knows that Louisiana boasts some of the top players in the country year after year?

Winning fixes all shortcomings - yes, it's that simple.

This is the class.
I remember watching pregame before 1-9. I remember Barrett Jones being interviewed, and saying something about winning the rematch, not because of revenge, but because of "restoring the natural order".
I despise that pompous, pretentious son of an ulcerated hemorrhoid to this day, just because of that statement.
And that's what Saban makes his players believe- that they're just superior to everybody. They're gods among mice. Only someone consistently winning against Alabama will reset the true "natural order", which is called balance.
This is that class, that begins to dethrone the gods of Tuscaloosa. I don't think I'm the only one that feels it. Clemson just proved that a N$ coached team can be beaten on the biggest of stages. Alabama is still pulling in hauls of stellar recruits, but this was the first year that a handful of those blue chips started transferring out. That trend will continue. Might even snowball.
The reign will end, and we will be proud that it's our players and coaches that ended it. History will likely remember the Saban dynasty and the glory and wins and monopoly on CFB. History will forget that a promoted Position Coach took over as Head Coach and took the dynasty down with two young and upcoming, brilliant coordinators. But the fall and whether or not it's remembered matters not. The dynasty is ending, and we will remember why.
Geaux Tigers!

I never seen so many people so utterly obsessed with Bama in my life. The reason we couldn't beat Bama before was because of Les Miles. Now he and his pathetic offense are gone. Hence, now we should start beating Alabama about every other year, as our coaching staff from the head coach on down is significantly better especially at the two coordinator spots.

By the way, shouldn't this thread be on the rant?

The last season we beat Alabama they won the national championship and tossed us into a death spiral. God has taken a heavy and pitiless hand to LSU fans. Lord forgive us, we know not what we've done to upset you.

In an era of 85 scholarships, no coach does this.
They are recruited because Louisiana has some very talented players.

It starts in next year's class. I think O will lock it down for 2018, especially if we have some onfield success for added ammunition.

It is twofold, Louisiana does have some of the best players in the country year after year and bringing them to Bama not only helps Bama but keeps the kids away from his biggest threat in the SEC and that is LSU.
If our Louisiana players would just recognize that fact that LSU puts more players in the NFL than any other school, including Bama, and stayed home and played for LSU all those titles that Bama has won lately would probably not happen! And LSU would be winning those titles.

Hard to do it with the coaching change and a short time for the full staff to recruit and build relationships, no matter how good a recruiter Orgeron is. The 2018 class will tell the story.
