And to be completely honest. LSU isn't really in the race with Luc. I just leave him up there because he's uncommitted, has an offer, and people would bug me 50 times a day about him if he wasn't.

So do we have a chance at signing Jeff Luc? I keep hearing no although we are on his list...
Knowing that we will lose 3 starting rotation LBs, we could use somebody who may be able to step in and contribute immediately. I've heard he is as strong and physical as they come, while not so fluid in the hips.

I would put it at about 95% chance of him doing so.

I really hope that we can pick up Grissom. I grew up playing against the dude and watched him play and develop once we got to highschool. He would defenitly surprise some people if he gets to Baton Rouge.

For what I have seen...I think he is a great athlete. I just don't what he could play at LSU. I think receiver could be his best option.

I read somewhere that Sam had a great camp at LSU and that's why they offered. My only problem with him is his attitude. He also doesn't have game speed if that makes sense, but he does have the body to go up and get balls if he's at receiver.

After watching him on film, its hard to believe that he runs a 4.4...Have you seen him play in live action?

Yeah, I'm from Prattville so I watched all their home games and a few playoff games including the state championship. I also spend a lot of time at Prattville's facilities. Sam just doesn't look that fast to me. I think it'll take Sam a few years to learn a system which could hamper any playing time severely. On the Other hand, Nick Perry is such a smart kid so I think he'll be able to pick up Nick Saban's defense rather quickly. I hate that Prattville kids can't graduate early and enroll in college in January
