This kid which is a pure athlete in Houston area. Projected rating #13 for next year in the entire state of Texas. Parents from Louisiana and other family still here. This kid is a hidden jewel!!!!

Russell Shepard part two.In 4 years they couldn't figure out what to do with RS. Maybe this staff can develop him.

Russell Shepard was a Miles' screw-up.

I think Canada will work with anybody ( because he is smart enough to play to a kids' strengths) and will put the best player on the field.

Miles tried to get a kid to conform to his style.

Recruiting and signing Russell Shepard was not a screw up. Shepard had a productive career just not at QB.

Not my idea of productive from one of the best talents in the country coming out of HS

I thought russ was a miles success story. He wouldn't be in the nfl making money if it wasn't for the switch

Russell Shepard is making 1.6 mil this year almost twice what Jarvis Landry will make.

Maybe his head coach just did not put the ball in his hands enough

He averaged 6.88 yards per carry on 104 carries

He averaged 9.74 yards per reception on 58 receptions

If you are not QB then the only way to get the ball is to have the coach run a play to get it to you.

Not my idea of having the opportunity to be productive.

I am not trying to argue that Shepard is a star player but he performed for LSU better than a lot of football players that do not get dogged every time a post mentions there name.

The only thing he did wrong was get highly rated by someone coming out of high school.

Exactly. Miles moving Shep to receiver is the reason he is in the NFL. Though, they should have figured out a way to get him the ball more, but that was more on Crowton and Stud I'd imagine.

Because screaming Jordan Jefferson just feels wrong.

This kid is no Russell Shepard just because he's from the same area. They're totally different people. LSU have the right OC to develop any type of QB

You do realize Landry is on a rookie contract while RS is considered a vet now? Landry will be getting a bigger contract for sure.

Of course, I realize that Russell's contract is only for this year with no guarantees for next year and Jarvis will be in for a big contract next year. That's why I said "this year" in the post.

You're either trolling or you have no understanding of how NFL contacts work. Either way, your post is pretty useless.

I really enjoyed his 30 for 30. Didn't know he played football and had eligibility left.
