i'm not sure

i don't know if he would have made it to campus though. Not sure how he is compared to his brother but being that LSU offered him last year as a soph. i would think he's going to get drafted next year in a pretty good round if all goes well.

Will never make it to any college campus, most Barbe players don't.
LSU can now focus on getting a player that might actually come to campus

Bad blood between PM and the Cechini's (sp?). Apparently, PM was told he (the older, Garin-I think) would only sign for a certain amount.

But, he took less than what was told to PM, and PM did not take it well.

No link, no source, just the word on the street.

He's saying Garin told Manieri that he would only sign to go to the MLB at a certain amount. The Red Sox offered lower than that amount and he signed anyway. Doing that pissed off Manieri

Signing bonus-He was drafted in the 5th? round. PM was told it would take a certain amount for the MLB team to sign him. He signed for less...

I'm not sure getting in a pissing contest with a high school coach that runs one of top baseball programs in the state is a good idea. Barbe continually produces good-great baseball talent and Manieri shouldn't burn that bridge over one kid going pro.

Agree! Barbe is starting four freshman in their lineup right now, with two others contributing. With the competition they play, you would think atleast a couple of them will be college material by their senior year!

If annoying Cecchini (the coach) and another college coach have bad blood, this is immensely Germans.

For reference, see Tulane.
