Can we PLEASE stop calling a freaking transfer a "commitment"

bullshite. The word commitment means virtually nothing to many college athletes these days. Play me, or I leave. That hardly qualifies as a commitment.

Yes and also stop with the gray shirt, preferred walk on. No such official thing. And the incessant questions of whether a transfer gets someone’s scholarship who has left when the 25 annual limit has Ben reached even when they are below 85 total.

Agreed. We should start addressing commitment non-conforming persyns who identify as LSU Tigers as transferqueer or commitfluid, at least while they're transitioning.

Just checking in to downvote and wish you a pleasant evening. And also to say I am thrilled Major Burns COMMITTED.

You people hung up on the word commitment are weird as hell.
You also choose to ignore the term comes from the concept of a non-binding verbal commitment. Non-binding.

They are commitments and I’ll call them that. Gray shirts and preferred walk-ons are “things” that define a players status on team, and they’ll be called as such. Both of you are nitwits and just need to shut up. Educate yourselves on recruiting in 2021.

Should we stop calling marriages commitments because many get divorced?

It’s a commitment to enroll at a university, not finish your career there. But I think you knew that and just wanted to complain about “kids these days”. It’s the weekend, go get some fresh air and stop shite posting.

Zach Mettenberger, what the frick man? Transferring from that community college when you committed to it. I mean you were supposed to be there for two years, not one. How selfish can you be?
Danny Etling what the frick man? Transferring from Purdue after being an on and off starter, I mean how selfish can you get? I mean at least you played...well half the time...but you still played!
