all of the kids are big LSU fans.

this crap about them never going to LSU is laughable, especially considering the direction of the program.

Peyton went to Tenn because they had a lot more talent than any other SEC team at that time.
Peyton went to Tennessee because of David Cutcliffe.

Eli went to Ole Miss because of David Cutcliffe.

The Giants, who value the Manning's input, drafted a QB who has as mentored by David Cutcliffe.

Do we really want to pretend that we need to guess where Arch Manning is going to play?

luckily we aren't concerned with where old man archie wants to go to college. Most kids these days pick where they want to go, I'm sure we will get a shot.

I’m pretty sure this is correct. That means LSU could hire Cutcliffe as OC before Arch graduates and that would just about guarantee Arch goes to LSU. I think he would make a good OC, and his salary at Duke is $1.7 million.

His records as HC of Duke haven’t been good since 2014. He’s probably one of those great coordinators who makes a bad HC, or can’t get the talent/resources at Duke he needs to succeed. He’s Also a great QB developer, obviously.

I don't want any Manning to play for LSU. LSU does not need a Manning to win a national championship.
It makes me a little sad when I see how fricking dumb some of our fan base is.

I don’t know the Manning’s but I know someone who coaches at Newman. Yes. There’s a very real chance that Arch could go to LSU, despite what these stupid keyboard warriors pretend to know

Cutcliffe staying at Duke is what every LSU fan needs to root for

During his time at Ole Miss- Archie and Ed grew a friendship. Not sure how well it’s still in tact but Ed won that family over for a time

Arch camped at LSU last summer before his freshman year and LSU went all out for the family. Mickey Joseph and Einsminger did everything thing they could for them.

Long story short- the dudes on here that are saying no chance are morons. LSU has a real shot. If Cutcliff ends up at a decent blue blood we’re screwed though

. I am pretty sure they hate LSU but the rest of this is bullshite. LSU’s players had complete respect for Archie and went out of their way not to take advantage of the situation. So much so that it didn’t go unnoticed by Archie’s mom who wrote a letter to Mac thanking him and his team for not hurting him further.

Shouldn’t we at least consider making Cutcliffe OC before Arch graduates? Am I the only one who thinks he’d do well at LSU?

Cutcliffe makes $1.7 mil as Duke HC, and his records have been getting worse since 2014. He’s been a pretty good OC though, and elite at developing QBs.

If we had Manning for 3 years (assuming he’d start as a true freshman), coached by one of the best QB developers (if not THE best) in the nation, wouldn’t that be worth it?

There’s no way Cutcliffe is a step down from Ensminger as OC.

Wait a minute. I'll try to find a link but I remember that when Charlie Mac retired (or maybe when he died) he was spoken well of by the Manning family for the way his players showed respect by taking it easy on Archie in that game; the exact opposite of what you are claiming.

You never hire a coach for one recruit.

“no way”?

Quick question - Which has been the OC for the greatest offense ever?

Cutcliff isn’t going to take a demotion for money.

Does Einsminger landing Joe Burrow and leading us to the promise land truly gain no credit from you?

Archie's mother wrote a letter to Cholly Mac thanking him, if I remember the story correctly.

Anyone know if the story is true that young Arch himself calls LSU his favorite team? I've heard others making that claim, anyway.....

Serious question. Is the kid an all-star already or does everyone just want him because of the family name? I see people post threads on him all the time but the real question is where does he rank amongst the rest of the QBs in his class. Anyone have any insight on that?

34 pass tds as a freshman. I’d say he’s pretty good. Mechanically one of beSt I’ve ever seen at that age.

Thanks for the info. After reading his 247 page seems like he has a lot of potential. Hopefully he continues to put up those numbers through the rest of HS

I remember reading/hearing that “no manning will ever play at LSU” too, but can’t find it anywhere. Instead, I found this article from 2015:

LINK

I think it’s the rivalry between LSU and Ole Miss that is Archie big deal. Probably has nothing to do with the rest...

Personally, I think Coach O will do his best with both Arch Manning & Walker Howard. However, we won’t get both; but either one will be great! Especially, paired with the OT from Neville covering ones blind side...

People on the radio get on me a little bit saying I kept my boys from going to LSU, and that wasn't true. I let my kids make their own decisions, didn't influence them. They both visited LSU and they went to games almost every Saturday night, almost every home game. "When Curley (Hallman) was there, Peyton was convinced Josh Booty was going to LSU and he wasn't going the same place Josh was going. Eli was the same way with Brock Berlin. Of course, he didn't. They made visits. It wasn't an anti-LSU thing at all. I've lived in New Orleans 44 years. I've lived in Louisiana a lot longer than I lived in Mississippi. I have great LSU friends. It's fun. I'm not an LSU hater. I'm a strong Southeastern Conference guy.

Archie on LSU. Looks like all the “A Manning will never go to LSU” people are misinformed.

I do agree that if we get Howard in 2022, we almost certainly won’t be getting Arch the following year.

Most of these tards need to watch "The Book of Manning" SEC Storied and they would know this to be true. He talks about how he let his sons make their own decision. He just supported their decisions.
