In the SEC Network's The Book of Manning, Arch was the kid that said LSU was his favorite team.

And his grandfather verbally castrated him!

1- Who says a P5 school will want the kid. He was 13 with years of development.
2- It looks like he is good enough for a P5 school but a lot can happen.
3- His dad and grandpa hate LSU.
4- Some kids walk their own paths. Peyton could only wander to UT not LSU. But LSU was in the middle of the terrible 90s.

See kids? If you’re going to make a stupid statement, you have to go all in and swing for the fences like this guy did

Archie and Cooper both have visceral contempt for LSU.

I’ve seen Cooper at an LSU tailgate in LSU gear (hat and shirt). He and his wife were at the LSU Sports Properties tailgate a few years back.

Also, Copper’s kids’ favorite college team is LSU. The kids said this at the end of the “Book of Manning” documentary.

This will be a hot topic in 2023...but I would bet that he goes to a school out of state....going to LSU would be a major distraction for him....but it would be priceless to see archie wearing purple and gold....lol

I don't think the elder Mannings would ever forbid Arch from going to LSU if that's what he wanted.

That said, I don't think they're going to vociferously encourage him to choose LSU either.

I don’t know where that “ hates LSU “ narrative came from, but I’ve never seen actual evidence of it.

For what it's worth, a lady who works in the athletics department at Newman was performing a service for my family and I asked her jokingly about Arch and LSU. Her response was a giggle and, "yeah right, not going to happen".

Kid may not end up being Tulane caliber. He’s what? 14? Let’s give it 2 more years

No he doesn't. NONE of them do. The "Passing Academy" would not exist but/for LSU.

Exactly. These guys think they know the Mannings and what they are thinking. Like they would forbid the kid from going somewhere that might be best for him. Most of these posters a full of crap.

I don't want any Manning to play for LSU. LSU does not need a Manning to win a national championship. They play LSU fans for fools. All Archie cares about is being able to be a commercial spokesman for contractors and car dealerships.

If Coach O can bring LSU a National Championship with an unbeaten record, he can bring anyone to LSU.

Peyton went to Tenn because they had a lot more talent than any other SEC team at that time. To play in a Miles style offense, LSU didn't have a chance

Interesting since Peyton was in the NFL when Miles came in 2005.

Imagine, for a moment, that LSU does sign Arch, and he enrolls. Also imagine that Arch doesn't pan out at LSU. We will NEVER hear the end of it from the Manning family. I'd be willing to bet they'd sour LSU's name every chance they get.

He’d have to redshirt and sit behind Howard for two years.
