Can CBK relate?

Given ND is a posh privileged school, and now he is coming to one of the poorest states in the nation. Will the recruits relate? I personally don’t know if a lot of the LSU blue collar players can get behind him.
Tbh idk a lot of BK recruiting abilities or BK in general. I think it’ll be harder for him than some think.

He recruited nationally at Notre Dame. He had a ton of success at Cincinnati, which is hardly a glamour town or school. I think he’ll be fine.

He will relate through football. People are looking way too far into this.

Somebody fark Kelly in a kid’s living room wearing a top hat, monacle, and drinking tea.

Idk man. I truly think some of the success that CEO had was he was literally one of us.

It’s not the town I am worried about, it’s people thinking he’s snooty because he’s been at private universities for a long time.

And what about Les Miles? He was more successful.

Step 1) Go to the Help Board.
Step 2) Start a thread asking to change your name to BadTakes.
Step 3) ???
Step 4) Profit

You asked me to stick to recruiting. I would ask you to take a chill pill on this

Cincinnati is hardly a place offering a beach vacation atmosphere. The biggest issue any coach would have is the “leadership” in Baton Rouge running us rapidly into another Jackstaniatan

To me the relationship between the HC and a recruit doesn't mean as much as it used to. A lot of these kids are just trying to go to a trendy school with a cool uniform, get paid, and go pro. You think all those guys that go to bama relate to Nick Saban? Do you think guys really related to Les Miles? Probably not so much. If Brian Kelly can win at LSU the recruits will come.
Now the relationship with the parents, that's a different story. That relationship is one of the most overlooked aspects of recruiting. A lot of these kids are going to go where their parents want them to go. If the HC has a great relationship with the parents and the positional coach has a great relationship with the recruit then you have a good shot.

I just listened to Jordy’s show, who had the Blue and Gold writer on. He stated that BK is not a heavy daily recruiter/grinder like Saban/Kirby/CEO. He said once he gets into the homes the parents take to him, but he is not as active as some would think.

Are you saying that the athletes he recruited to Notre Dame only came from rich families? And with fewer rich families in Louisiana he'll run out of athletes to fill his roster with? I mean, this is pretty dumb, man.
At Notre Dame, he recruited top-rated athletes from around the country to come to a school with higher requirements on academics and personal conduct than many other institutions. He was swimming upstream and still doing great.
At LSU, there is less red tape to get star athletes in the door. He will also retain his midwest and national connections to continue expanding our footprint. He will do even better here than he did at Notre Dame from a recruiting standpoint. Just watch.
