Consensus was that Bama had the lead this summer but that LSU made up ground and it was close to even. Harris, our QB commit has been chatting him up, and most thought if it went into the season a better offense plus Harris would sway him.

The timing is centered around Sims more so than the calendar.
Truth is regardless who he picks now it aint over till Feb 2014.

Obviously Alabama will look strong this year they play chumps. The key is to beat them like we did last year but show it on the scoreboard this time.

Not the point. It's a win for Bama if he can "taint" the LSU game somehow....maybe get in the LSU coaching staffs head a little bit.

Saban goes for the throat with stuff like this: LSU's playing in prime time & getting some good exposure. Ruin it by getting a big time Louisiana recruit. I do hope i'm wrong, but it is a tactic he has employed before.

I am worried about another few other big recruits in La to. Saban has only 1 RB recruit and he told Rivals to put him down as an athlete. All these recruiting services are an extension of Alabama and Nick Saban in my mind. The higher these services rate players he recruits the more these other big time recruits want to be part of it.

I figured as much, but wasn't sure if there is a specific reason anyone had for one time being "better" than another.

I don't see any reason for confidence nor any reason to fall apart. I hope he chooses LSU.

It would be disappointing to lose him to bama but if he should go we have move on and beat their arse in November.

CRob doesn't care who he's playing against. They can talk the trash if he chooses Bama and he will dominate them all the same. He's not a consensus Top 5 recruit for being handsome. He can flat out play.

The main issue I have is if a 5* stud was in Alabama right now, there is no way in hell we have a shot.

And if he commits to LSU you're gonna try telling me that CRob is trying to ruin the Bama opener.

McKnight made his decision, Landon Collins made his decision. They didn't care about what people would say.

Cam is the same way. It was going to be a race to the finish with him, but with Bama offering Sims, it was a no brainer now. People on here were claiming it was not a package deal, but it certainly seems to be the case.

No it doesn't. It's just a verbal. Means nothing. Kids change all the way to February

You can't be serious. If picks Bama he is going there. You are delusional.

Why on earth would you go to Bama if you have a chance to block for Leonard fournette. That's the question people should be asking him.

I just don't understand why we didn't try to get Sims if he is so close to C Rob. It wouldn't have hurt us in anyway and now it will likely cause us to lose big Cam.

The best thing for lsu to do is stay on him

LSU has been recruiting this kid since the 8th grade. If they can't close the deal with all of that time I seriously doubt there's anything left to say.

Stud has been working this kid for 4 years. Cristobal met him a few months ago. It's time to move on.

There should not be a shitstorm visited upon him if he doesn't pick LSU. But everyone has irrational idiots, so no matter which way he goes, I'm sure there will be a shitstorm visited upon him.
yes, but he could be two states away from one shite storm.
