Cam Akers and Marvin Wilson . Florida State.
I seen some of their game be replayed yesterday on tv against ULM. Looked like maybe 15,000 at most .in stadium. They are about equal to Monroe. You talk about a bad business decision. We wanted these two bad .

LSU is never a bad choice. The amount of resources and standing of the Athletic Department in the eyes of the university and the state of LA - there is guaranteed backing and heavy support.

This supplies athletes with a lot of opportunities to be successful and practice their craft.

He was productive starting half of last season. The Noles were hoping for a big breakout this year. He has seven tackles and a sack thus far.

Why? You think it will hurt their draft stock it won’t. The team certainly isn’t as good as they thought I’m sure and they did commit to Jimbo but if they are talented enough they’ll be just fine

We certainly could've used both of those guys this year, that's for damn sure.

Imagine us with a seasoned elite RB that is a great pass catcher and more elite depth on the DL.

Well considering cam akers is running behind one of the worst o-line’s in college football i’d have to say that there’s no way he’s living up to his potential. There’s no denying that having a way better o-line would definitely help akers’ draft stock. As far as marvin, it’s hard to tell if it truly matters. Iron sharpens iron and he’s not seeing much competition on the line during practice. I can’t imagine playing on that shitty squad has been a fun college career though

The belief that it does not matter which school you go not affecting your draft position is laughable. Some schools absolutely do a better job of coaching up players, especially at certain positions.

you telling me cam akers wouldn't make a difference on LSU's team? Marvin Wilson turned out to be less than expected but cam would be crushing it here right now on a team that doesn't really have a high level running back ready to take over.

Its pretty incredible the amount of big name recruits that go elsewhere on signing day, that I truly believe if they could do it all over again, would choose LSU.

There's a lot that wouldn't do things over again, I know. You have to think big Marv, Cam Akers, Hootie, Gerald Willis, Priest Willis (Y'all remember him?), Torshiro Davis, Shea Patterson, Tyron Johnson (xferred I know) would have been a senior this year right? Imagine him in this offense, and etc Etc. (could name a lot).

I am not saying I know all these kids wish they could do it over, but one has to think. Regardless of the mediocre offense we had during Les years, we still had kids getting drafted. Defensive players from LSU usually always get a shot in the NFL.

Derrick Henry won the freaking Heisman and ran behind a great college OL, he went in the 2nd round. If Akers isn't living up to his potential its more about his performance. The pro scouts adjust for things like his OL isn't great or his team sucks, so yeah i'm 100% denying a better oline would help his draft stock and BTW he plays in the ACC

another cliche that sounds like it makes sense. People on this board told me what a terrible mistake Oliver was making signing with Houston for those very reasons, where did he go 9th, 10th in first

You guys can down vote me all you want pro scouts don't care about your teams record or conference. More SEC guys get drafted because the SEC has a lot more good players.

probably not as a football player, doesn't mean the overall experience is bad. Kevin Faulk came to LSU when we had 6 straight losing seasons when could have gone to FSU where he would have played for 2 National Titles and 2 other major bowls rather than 2 Poulan Weedeater Independence Bowls and a Peach. But doesn't seem like he regrets his decision.

On Akers OL, he's a comment from one draft site

quote:

8/17/19: Akers has played well for Florida State despite having an awful offensive line in front of him

LINK

The scouts understand and don't hold it against you. He's ranked as the 7th RB for the 2020 draft. 3rd is a guy from Arizona State, they aren't much better than FSU
