Randall Mackey when bastrop recruited better than les. Him throwing to 2 5* wideouts was absolutely unfair those bastrop teams were unstoppable.

Stephon Lefors was pretty good at Christian Life. Same team as Micheal Clayton. He went on to kill it at Louisville and played for Carolina before heading up north.

Bobby Hebert

Wasn't born so I didn't see him play in high school, but was he really all that great?

His numbers were pretty "meh", and wasn't even all-district a once in high school.

Bobby Hebert (1977) 187 att 80 comp 42.8 comp % 1360 yards 19 tds 14 ints 70.71 rating.

I've heard Hebert say numerous times that he really didn't bloom until college and that Boogie Leblanc was a better high school QB than him at SL.

Played against Alan Risher. He beat us (Mandeville) pretty much single handedly in '77.

Played against Warrick Dunn at Catholic, and Trey McClure at Central.

Take your pick. Both were amazing for different reasons.

Josh was a stud athlete though. He's probably the most physically impressive qb. Bill Walsh said that he was the best HS QB he had ever seen.

Honestly just talking High School, I saw all of those guys and was more impressed with Brandon Harris. Reminded me of a right handed Mike Vick the way the ball just jumped out of his hand effortlessly on a rope and with his running ability. The main reason I was on his bandwagon so long is because of the potential I saw from him at Parkway.

Was Brock nimble on his feet . Was he pocket passer or could he move a around.

Think Drew Brees. He could move around in the pocket to avoid sacks and then chunk it. His senior year was their first in 5A. 2 of their 3 touchdowns he looked to be dead to rights. He spun out of sacks and hit Brent Rawls with perfectly thrown jump balls. He was really, really good.

He was good enough to win a State Championship with a TD pass in the last minute, albeit a miraculous tipped pass.

Bastard.
