Basketball insiders...what does the Jalyn Patterson news mean?

It sounds like there is a rule that allows Patterson to stay on scholarship while opening a free scholarship for this season. Are there still grad transfers out there looking?

I would guess they still get Bigby from Oregon to fill one scholarship and keep looking for grad transfers or simply keep the scholarship open.

I'm glad it's Patterson leaving and not Sims. Patterson had an up and down career but he doesn't provide us with a whole lot we really need. Sims isn't the biggest or most athletic, but he's a scrappy kid who will do all the dirty work on the boards and defense if the coaches do their job right. You need at least one guy like that on every team.
