A&M will finish with a pretty poor record, does anyone have any updates on his commitment?

Ship sailed a long time ago, A&M could lose out and still have him.

Y'all overestimate the impact of record on a kid's commitment to a school. Recruits regularly state win/loss is not the most important thing to them

Depends who the recruit is. Program success will play a huge role for some.

Most couldn't tell you what the record was for the team they committed to.

Damn. I was still holding onto a sliver of hope with this one.

Sure swayed Dylan Moses, and probably Pat Surtain.

Surtain was swayed by Jabar Juluke trashing Orgeron the night before he committed

Agreed. That's why I did not say all recruits

Did he trash him for program success? And that’s what swayed him? Lol

So explain how Bama cherry picks high 4* and 5* from all over the nation. They aren't going there because they are guaranteed playing time, for the prestige of a degree from the University of Alabama or because Tuscaloosa is such a great party town.

Why was juluke the lead recruiter

I thought Corey Raymond was the lead recruiter. Jabar must have a good relationship with surtain Sr being from New Orleans and was unhappy how coach O let him go the year before.

Because he flashes those rings and closes the deal. No one else can do that.

You mean those rings that show the won/loss record that recruits don't care about?

Come on, Bama is not the rule they are the exception. They can guarantee a kid a national championship during their time on campus. No other school can do that. Therefore, a recruit going to any other school knows their team is going to lose sometimes.
