Just finished watching his game against Dutchtown. Only time I've seen him play, but I came away very unimpressed. He had a few nice runs against a bad defense, but it's hard to picture him against SEC defenses this time next year. Maybe he had an off night or they knew that there was no real threat to lose, so he took it easy. But usually the guys with D1 offers tend to stand out on the field in terms of athleticism and explosiveness, and he really didn't tonight.

Why?? It's HS ball anyways and anyone can look good in HS. I don't think Bolden is gonna be much of a factor in college ball like some of y'all are thinking.

So I'm gunna go against the norm I guess. I find it humorous how our fans on here are. The kids a good athlete. Go back a couple of months and everyone on here is saying that. He commits elsewhere and now he's garbage. It's fairly comical how wish washy this board is. His talent level did not increase or decrease due to a verbal commitment.
However, I do agree with the people saying who cares. I feel the same way. If the kid doesn't want to be at LSU, then frick em and good riddance. I hope he has a horrible college career playing for the gumps. I won't waste my time worrying about him. But I also won't sit here and act like he can't ball or that we wouldn't be happy with him.

LSU didnt recruit him hard and Bama offered him because they could. He will never see the field at Bama IMO and will end up transferring to ULM or Tech. Paul Turner was a much better QB and player for WM and Bolden IMO.

Is that the transfer QB from Penn St. that went to LSU?. If it he must be making a career out of college football because hes been playing for about 10 years.

He's the best player on the top team in 5A, which makes him better than about 95% of the kids playing Louisiana HS football. Is he an SEC caliber quarterback? Not in my opinion. Is he a good fit for Alabama's offense? Not in my opinion. But he has a lot of the same traits that Christian McCaffery and similar players have in that he's quick, athletic, intuitive and a gamer. He's a natural leader and great student. He'll be tough to replace.
Stats wise, JJ or somebody will have that but he's probably around 40TD mark for the season.
