I just don’t get how elite OT aren’t dying to get to LSU. You’re basically guaranteed immediate playing time

If he is truly an elite OT he will play as soon as he learns the playbook no matter where he goes.

Easternrio we know that’s you.

Convenient that your profile is created February 2019...and he stopped posting in...February 2019

Is this the same source that had Haskins as a lock to LSU too?

Recruiting is about relationships, he’s only been here a year.

Let’s also see how Ryan Day’s first year is as coach if they have a drop off and we make a run that only helps our cause

Buckeye06 We will see where these Ohio Boys end up.

I’m happy to even be in contention for the top 2 players in Ohio

Not high. Seems to be pretty locked in with OSU

Lsu making a playoff run and osu’s new coach stumbling out of the gate would do wonders for this....

5* OT visiting LSU this weekend

Anybody know how his visit went? I see he didn't decommit from OSU. Just wondering if LSU gave him something to think about?

Would be THE most impressive pull of all time.

Definitely would rank extremely high.

Hmmm, but I wonder if some of the blue-chip QB commits would automatically vault them over a Paris commit simply due to the importance of the position and LSU's history of QB incompetence?

Indiana native and 5 star QB, Gunner Keil, sent this board into a mindless hysteria after picking LSU over Notre Dame, albeit temporarily. I guess technically we never "pulled" him tho, since he never showed up to sign. (Interestingly , I just learned in a YT interview, the reason he backed out was mainly over the health of his recruiter who he bonded with, QB coach Kragthorpe, not solely the 17 hour distance from home. No QB coach/mentor & distance ultimately gave him cold feet & no chest.)

Ryan Perrilloux was a La kid, that you would think should be an easy pull, but stealing a 5-star QB commit from the Mack Brown & the Longhorns at the last minute, was a gigantic pull at the time. Although, the QB position wasn't a weakness with Russell & Flynn ahead of him.

I hadn't discovered message boards when Josh Booty committed to Curly Hallman, left for baseball, came back to football with Dinardo, but both times, there was a palpable anticipation that he was gonna be the savior of LSU football.

But, to your point, a Paris commit would be an all-time massive get, especially considering the current need at OT is more pressing than QB.
