The LSU football staff is moving fast out of the gates for the 2022 recruiting cycle, now holding commitments from seven prospects that has the Tigers ranked as the No. 1 class on 247Sports, ahead of Ohio State, Penn State, Oklahoma and Texas.

On Wednesday, the 247Sports rankings team revealed the latest update to the 2022 Top247, which brought with it new rankings for four prospects who are committed to the Tigers - though they largely remained in the same spot, and none saw a change in their 247Sports rating from the most recent update this summer.

*** The Tigers also three players committed who enter their junior seasons ranked outside the Top247. Shone Washington, a defensive lineman out of Warren Easton in New Orleans, is ranked as a four-star on the 247Sports Composite and a Top 20 defensive tackle prospect. Decoldest Crawford still holds an 89 rating as a receiver out of Green Oaks in Shreveport. The Tigers also have a commitment in on the offensive line from St. Paul's (Mobile, Ala.) is ranked by the 247Sports Composite as the nation's No. 7 offensive guard prospect.
