This probably isn't news to most of you, but was just looking at DT's for 2020 on 247 and was surprised to see how many DT's were crystal balled to LSU.
McKinnley Jackson (MS) #1 rated DT with 83% LSU
Branard Wright (TX) #5 DT, 100% CB'd to LSU
Jacobian Guillory (LA) #11 DT and #2 player in La.
Jaquelin Roy (LA) #17 DT and #4 player in La.
CamRon Jackson (LA) #23 DT and #10 in La.
Kenean Caldwell (LA) #38 DT and #18 in La.

We need Sopsher or flip one of the Ms guys or Somoan guys this class but we should make up a lot of ground at DT in the 2020 class.

crazy that two such highly rated out of state DT's are CB'd to LSU right now, not that that means a whole lot other than that they are in play. Oliver and Marvin Wilson were thought to be in the LSU fold also at one time also and went on to Houston and Fla St in the end.

McKinley Jackson will be a monster. He’ll be better than Sospher imo. Wright is a big LSU lean at this point. My only concern is just getting speed rushers off the edge these next couple of classes.

I wonder where Kenean Caldwell falls on the board. Maybe someone who has seen him play can chime in?

From what I have read, Mckinley Jackson's coach is trying to push him to Bama

Getting Jackson away from the landmass/Bama is going to be next to impossible

That's all great, but I don't think O has that much time unless the O gets a lot better.

Agree on the speed rusher part. It’s nice to have the big boys inside, but we absolutely need another Chaisson or two in the next few classes.

I think he will still be our Coach when these guys sign. Just an 11-2 possibility hunch.

That's great and all but if Ed O and LSU really want to turn a corner they need to start landing big time DLman, OLman, QBs and LBers on a regular basis.

I understand it's not easy but this is LSU and LSU should spare no expense when it comes to these positions every year. If they would simply focus the money on these positions it would bring us the hardware to more than make up for the money spent. I don't understand why we don't go hard after guys all over the country even if we strike out. Eventually it will pay off. One or two guys that we wouldn't have normally gotten could make the difference.

Even if these players aren't nationally recruited. Find some Rankins type of players that wernt highly recruited but are strong as frick and work hard. Find smart players with athletic ability who aren't being highly recruited but can develop. The more you get out there the more you'll find. Spend the money to put yourself out there. We need to find players and get them to come to LSU. Then when you have a class like 2020 it only adds to the depth we have. Maybe we are in for some great players and I don't know about them but we sure need them to turn this corner.

Completely agree. I assume there are restrictions on how many coaches/recruiters a school can have on staff, but to me it would make sense to have a guy doing nothing but recruiting all day every day. If he has to also be a coach so be it we can call him our QB coach since we haven't had one of those the last decade anyway..
