The Boston College OL is pretty damn cliche IMO. Maybe it's only me but when I'm desperate and all my players are getting stolen I fall back on cliches (Its why I pick the Wisconsin OL).

I gotcha... I guess I just sort of look at it like this:

The ratings/rankings have their place, and many of those guys that are rated highly will be plenty good... but at the end of the day as you move down in the rankings I don't see a huge difference between OL #20 and #40... so I trust coaching staffs who have consistently done good work at a) evaluating guys they believe will fit their system and b) developing guys to their highest potential. I think Iowa, Boston College, Wisconsin are all good examples of that. I picked Salyer first not so much because of his rating, but because I trust Pittman to make him into an absolute beast... not to mention that Andrew Thomas has had such a great start as a true freshman, it's pretty clear that their training at Pace on the OL was top notch.

I make a small distinction between Iowa/Wisconsin and BC. Ferentz has been at Iowa forever so you can say its the coaches track record ditto for Chryst who is a Wisconsin alum and was an assistant there for a long time.

As far as I know Addazio has no connection to BC's track record of producing OL.

That said even when Gary Anderson was Wisconsin's coach and had no connection to Wisconsin's OL history I would still default to picking a OL based on the cliche

The part that makes me lol is him being picked so many times and each time you(not you) probably thought you had a unique thought process.

And there went my other... That's what I get for making my picks out of my own order, because I was at soccer practice...

Yeah the depth chart sucks, but I’m fine with it at this point of the draft. His offer list far outweighs where I’m taking him.

I’m updating the first page but that’s about it. I’m drinking and eating crawfish.

OLB/DE John Waggoner, Iowa. A stand up edge rusher who is athletic enough to play in space.

CB Dominique Hampton, Washington. Verlander, this is the guy I was referring to earlier. A lot of people think he's a top 3 kid in our class, but flew really under the radar. The DB positions are loaded so it will be tough for him to get on the field early, but I like his potential.

I was afraid you’d take him honestly.

BTW, reda bumped earlier so that’s why TDawg picked. I’ll be making my selection in a few.
