Last name spelled wrong on position breakdown. No worries. Looking again.

Replacing prior selection:
In round 19, Team FibonacciSquared selects:
CJ Smith - Safety - Nebraska
6'3 - 195ish... Originally was a UF commitment at safety for about 4 months or so, but decommitted during the summer before this season. His older brother is stud WR for Frost at UCF, Tre'Quan Smith. Great length and ball skills... is going to need to add some mass on his frame, but should have no problem with this. Great contrast to Otis Reese for me, to play the ball hawking safety to Reese's smash you in your face role. Could stand to improve speed a bit, but he's not a slouch either at a 4.6 40 or so.
Maybe the beginning of a "Flori-braska" movement with Frost at Nebraska now...

Cole Mabry, OT for Notre Dame.
6'6", 275 pound kid from football factory Brentwood in Nashville. Will need a redshirt year and probably still only grow into a right tackle, but he has decent footwork and has plenty of frame to grow.

Esteban Avila - OG - TCU
This guy will finish out my offensive linemen has the size and quickness to be a great guard in his career.

I'm not sure why that would be a cliche pick... just a mistake due to insufficient/incomplete information. He's a solid talent, at a program that typically does pretty well with interior OL play... didn't think I was the only one who thought of him, but was operating quickly while working and didn't see his name as selected... under normal circumstances, I would have searched his first name too, but was just trying to get a pick in so as to put jemby's mind at ease.
The reality is that *very* few guys in this draft are completely "original thoughts"... we all look at the same player rankings, recruiting classes at programs that we believe do a good job at evaluating better than the rankings, etc. Every once in a while you see someone with a "wtf" moment, but how many truly off the radar guys are we looking at 3-4 years down the road as "daaaaamn" sort of picks. I think I snagged Kyzir White in the supplementary rounds 2 years ago, but I highly doubt that I was the only one to look at him. Now he's one of the better rated Safety prospects in the draft. Everyone else has examples...

Aaron Brule S - Miss St

With that last pick, Team FibonacciSquared has completed the starting Defense:
Conference breakdown:
SEC: 4
B1G: 3
Big XII: 2
Pac12: 1
ND - 1
2 Big XII defenders is more than I anticipated taking, but I feel good about them.
Probably strongest overall position has to be LB.... for good reason. I sunk a lot of draft value into the position with all 4 selected as first 10 round picks. I truly think Channing Tindall has the ability to be at a minimum Roquan Lite (not going to put a ceiling on him) and he's going to get every opportunity to excel at the position. 2 really talented cats at OLB both with versatility to play multiple positions and frames that will support growth/development in a college program. Gant a bit of a wildcard, as I'm not sure where he ends up at Ohio State, but he says he prefers inside and the coaches seem to be willing to try him there... hell of an athletic group though.
DL probably the most underrated group... 2 picks in rounds 17/18 that I think are easily as good as players taken 8-10 rounds earlier. Ademilola should do big things at Notre Dame. Good solid group of "effort" guys.
DB I prioritized my corners this year... identified who I wanted and went and grabbed them. Otis was too good to pass up in the 5th, even though I wasn't originally going to draft him... I really do hope he sticks at Safety long term as he's drawn a ton of Kam Chancellor comparisons and I think he's got that kind of ceiling. Long way to get there still.
Couple this crew with Verdis Brown, my OC who has spent time at DT as well, and I've got a legitimate ability to go 3-4, 4-3, or nickel pretty easily with some guys rotating around. We call that "being multiple" kids...

Nice. I didn't see where he had ended up... thought for sure he'd end up at LSU or TCU. The unfortunate side of recruiting there with him... glad he ended up at another SEC school and I think Moorhead will have them competitive. Brule is a really versatile dude.

The Boston College OL is pretty damn cliche IMO. Maybe it's only me but when I'm desperate and all my players are getting stolen I fall back on cliches (Its why I pick the Wisconsin OL).
