Damn I actually thought we were neck and neck, and still could be! But this will make it an even harder decision for Cook.

Him and Surtain would be filthy, with Greedy locking down one side.

I honestly think this will come down to the midnight before signing day but gut feeling. I hope he looks at Corey Raymond and says he gives me the best chance of making it to the next level early.

Pitch is the same from both Texas and LSU. Come in and play early.

Again, Deshon Elliot is a Safety. Unless Kris Boyd declared also, Holton Hill is their only CB that declared.

guess that's why they sent a thousand coaches to meet with Cook.

I'm still assuming it's 50.01% UT and 49.99% us. As someone pointed out, we have the same situation. And Raymond. And Orgeron.

Maybe I need to revise those numbers.

You know, I often wonder why CB recruits don't look more at the DL rather than competition at the position.

A) A good DL is a CBs best friend. Especially a pass rush up the middle. The hardest passes to defend are between the hashes and you can't maintain coverage forever. If a QB is flushed, you limit the field to 1/3 (1/2 if QB is a risk taker).

B) This day and age people are running nickels, 3 WR sets are very common, you have hybrid S-CBs, spreads, etc. The age of 2 CBs on the field is over. Plus it's so specialized. It's not like they are going to convert a FB to be a CB. Hell, you see CBs converted to S, but not the other way around. Depth chart means less today than even 5 years ago for a CB.

I didn't say recruits, I said Texas players. The ones who have been directly coached by him the past year. They have a huge wave of early defections to the draft (at least 4, up to 7) and a TON of transfers. Their OL is going to be left in complete shambles. They are expected to lose their #1/#2 LT, #1/#2 LG, #2 OC, #1/#2 RG.

While This may be true, it would be a stupid move by DJ and KT2.

You realize they both will be drafted in first few rounds, right?

Both Jackson and Tolliver project somewhere in the third round. After the combine, that could go up or down. With Jackson's speed, it might well go up.

A third round pick who gets a 4 yr deal will make about 650 k a year, so we are looking at a good chance of each of them making more than 2 mil dollars over 4 years.

It would take a kid with an engineering degree from LSU starting at 50k a year 40 years to make 2 million dollars. if he gets raise along the way, lets say 20 years.

Tell me again how this would be a stupid move? Sure its possible they could stay in a year and maybe move up a round. its equally possible their draft stock stays the same or goes down, not to mention the risk of injury.

Not for KT2.

Certainly possible.

Makes way more sense for DJ, as his combine numbers will likely catapult him into the 2nd round, maybe even 1st.

KT just doesn't have a lot of big plays. Just my opinion which obviously means nothing, but I would think any scout would say, "looks great at times, but I wish there was more good tape".

Doesn't matter, they have the measurables and will shine at the combine.
