Nothing more than a hunch. Also think Mickey Johnson could be a beast of a fullback, but I don't think he is as agile as JC Copeland.

MJ could be a solid blocker, but Copeland has long arms and is extremely athletic....catching the ball ect..

Mickey Johnson would be a wrecking ball if he is quick enough to play the position, but we need depth at defensive tackle in my opinion.

I find it odd that this board says that defensive line was the BIGGEST need this year for depth; but then it is so quick to displace a dlineman to fullback.

Which is it? And why do we all think that, in order to get a fullback, you have to recruit/transition a dlineman?

Anomalies happen. Josh Reed from to wr
Copeland to fb.
Jason bagget/kyle kipps/steve peterman from te to OT.

I get it. But if we are recruiting 6' dlineman that "won't" start due to height (according to this board) then why are we giving them spots that could be used elsewhere?

Its not added depth if they aren't in the rotation.

What about Melvin Jones, esp. if someone like Beckwith can impress at inside linebacker?

It's not so bad to have either one back the other up at the LB position.
