I've been prepping the deck for a fresh finish. Going to do a light stain...semi transparent I guess.

What's the best product out there?

Apply with roller or sprayer?

I like Olympic. I’ve never done a deck, but I build Adirondack chairs and BGE tables and use it to stain and seal. Mountain cedar is the color I prefer

Look at TWP...I'm doing a deck for a customer and they requested TWP. Goes on very well, reasonable price, and wears well.

TWP
Restore A Deck is awesome
Ready Seal is good

I've used TWP for several years now and its the best I've used. I apply with a roller.

Cabot and I redo it about 2-3 years depending on weathering, foot traffic.

I typically use Cabot. I used semi-transparent a few years ago when I stained my fence. I restained it last weekend and went with semi solid. The wood was getting rather weathered, and I wanted a little more coverage on it. Turned out nice!

Last year, my deck was looking really crappy. I went with Cabot Deck Correct on a that and couldn’t be happier. It has a year of relatively hard traffic on it and it is not wearing at all. Additionally, deck correct has some abrasive in it that makes for a non-skid surface.

When I got frustrated with Lowes, they were the only ones that carried the Thompson's Water Seal my wife(no pics) wanted, I went to 'The Stain & Seal Experts Store.' They were actually linked by someone else on here a few months ago. I was able to get the color my wife wanted, and it is a much higher quality stain and sealer than Thompson's.
