So just the kit is free? How much is the test?

quote:No the test is not free. The mail in box is free and postage paid. The box will contain three ziplock bags, allowing you to send in 3 soil sample per box, instructions on how to take the soil samples, and this form to complete with the price of analysis for 1, 2 or 3 soil samples. LINK.

The nice thing with the box already postage paid you don’t have to stand in line at the USPS to get stamps.
Bottom line, the cost per soil analysis sample is $10 plus $6 for priority mailing.

From others on this board who are getting back results, apparently the AgCenter’s STPAL (Soil Test and Plant Analysis Lab) is now open and processing soil samples. I’d collect samples and send them in.
