What would cause sudden loss of water pressure in a entire house?

Looked under the house and I don’t see anything leaking but water pressure suddenly dropped. Was fine this morning and just got home to low water pressure. What could it be?
ETA: Just got an email from my city there is low water pressure in our area currently

Sounds like something caused your water pressure to drop.

I was gonna say check the lawn for wet spots and ask your neighbors if they are having problems. Guess you got your answer though.

This is just LaToya reminding you that she will not be BULLIED!!!!
Assuming you live in Orleans Parish, of course. Otherwise, typical water district problems or incompetence.

Good chance your water will have a brown tint to it once pressure comes up.

If you live in N.O., it could be any number of things.
Fire in the area where equipment is using lots of water to put the fire out.
Peak time of the day for showering, bathroom use---usually 6-8 a.m. and 6-8 p.m.
Break in a supply line causing a major leak.

pump failure.
Pretty sure they keep all the supply pumps in good working order since that is their main source of revenue.
It's the drainage pumps they seem to have broken most of the time that cost citizens their personal, and insurance money to repair the flooding damage.

Supply pumps fail all the time. The only thing that won't fail at producing water pressure is a water tower.

Open the pressure relief valve on your water heater. Make sure it drains outside.
