What wide-spectrum herbicide does my St. Aug/Centipede lawn need during August?

Bought a new house in November. The lawn has been somewhat neglected by my standards, so there are a variety of weeds around. I treated the lawn in the early spring and it knocked back out most of the weeds, but they are starting to gain foothold the last month or so.
Speak to me, o' wise sages of lawn maintenance.

Celsius.
Do I need to mix in a surfactant with that one?

Hey Ronk, I tried to sneak in some Celsius this morning but the freaking rain got me. I think it hit about 3-4 hours. I know they say it needs 24. Should I just reapply as soon as the weather allows or give it a week or 2 and see if there’s anything happening? Mostly treated dove weed.

Wait two weeks. Celsius starts killing weeds almost immediately. They may have absorbed enough product to work.

A coworker put the idea of using "Tenacity" on my St. Aug yard.
In a Celsius vs. Tenacity situation is Celsius still the one to apply?

Though I’ve not used Tenacity, I believe a temporary side effect is it can turn St Augustine white in color for a while, which might be concerning from an aesthetics standpoint for the homeowner. Celsius might cause some temporary yellowing. I don’t see a temperature summer restriction on Tenacity which is good, but Celsius has none either. Many on this board including me are using Celsius with excellent results, it’s a dry granule, not a liquid, I’d go with Celsius.

I find Celsius stunts the growths of St. Aug. I’ll cut the lawn and the areas where Celsius was applied stays shorter, the same height as it was cut for about a week.

I spot treated some weeds a couple of weeks ago and it rained about 6 hours after I sprayed. Everything I sprayed is dying. I read somewhere that it’s rainfast after 4 hours, so I’d definitely wait and see.

I hope so. Got sweaty as hell out there. Don’t want it to be in vain. My Sedgehammer says rain fast in 4 hours so at least I got that going for me. Which is nice.

We need a sticky. I posted a fill chart. You can probably search celsius.

WOW - this is expensive. Amazon wants $124 for a 10 oz bottle.

That bottle will last you 3-5 years.

So it is only for spot treatments.

You can broadcast spray as well if you need to.
