What type of watering system do you have for your flower beds?
I'm thinking about using drip tape. Seems simple, cheap, easy to install, can be covered with mulch, and will get the job done.

Any reason as why not to use it? Or have a better solution?

I use a micro-irrigation system with poly pipe, microtubing and spray type 360 degree spray emitters. I’ve not used drip tape but I have used the drip hoses and they worked fine but the hoses deteriorated after a couple years, even when covered with mulch. Lots of flexibility with the micro-systems and they are cheap and easy to customize for your individual beds.

I bought this kit and it works really well and easy to install. LINK

Yeah, I looked at DIG stuff. Did you bury the line? Those little sprayers on stakes look like they would fall over as soon as a dog bumped it.

I want something that is gonna last, so I'm not a afraid to spend a little more.

Was thinking I could run pvc underground and the do some drip tape lines off of it. And if it got damaged it would be fairly easy and cheap to fix. I also want something that is decently hidden.

I buried it under mulch so it wouldn’t be hard to pull up if I wanted to add or repair something. A dog probably would knock it over unless you stuck the stake pretty much all the way down.

I make liberal use of the phrases "drought tolerant" and "suitable for xeriscaping." This has allowed the existing watering system to serve me well.

4 sides irrigation with rain sensor. Rarely do I hand water but it is necessary every now and then.
