At this point nothing. If you would have caught it earlier you could’ve use atrazine/certainty on Bermuda, st Aug, centipede, zoysia. Monument on Bermuda if it was already green.

Poa/bluegrass usually gets suffocated out by other turf and warm weather.

Yeah, don’t anything at this point. When it pops up next year use certainty/atrazine combo. A good pre em in the fall should prevent most of it.

As ronk said, use of pre-emergent in the fall is the key. It should control 90+ % of it.

It hasn’t been mentioned in this thread but a good bit Poa has become largely herbicide resistant to the better post-emergent herbicides normally recommended to control it. And once Poa matures and produces seedheads, even if not herbicide resistant, it’s difficult to kill. It needs to be sprayed when very small/young.

Summer heat going kill it in next month or so, so map out out a game plan for using pre-emergent herbicide this fall - you’ll see a dramatic reduction in Poa next spring.

which Pre-emerge would you use on Bermuda for bluegrass? Ive been using dimentia but not having a lot of luck on the bluegrass.

I have used Dimension, Prodiamine and Specticle in my lawn and had excellent results with annual bluegrass control with all three.

When are you applying the Dimension? It needs to be applied before the Poa seeds germinate in the fall at a soil temperature of 70 F. For me in BR, I try to apply by late September, first week of October by the latest. You have water it in if it’s dry and in the absence of rain to wash the herbicide into the soil where the weed seeds are located. According to ronk, it helps to make a second application of pre-emergent herbicide in December if you have particularly bad cool season weed issues.

Ok, now I see my issue...I was not applying until end of Nov. Thank You!

Craw or ronk. Is there any set time you need to wait between sprays of weeds/fertilizer/bifen on general turf grass?

You can spray weeds, fertilize and apply bifenthrin all on the same day - right behind each other if you want, though I’d personally put the granular products down first and spray last.
