Seems high to me, but I have never gotten a quote and have no idea what the norm is.

4 inch sch 35 pipe installed - 185' @ $14/ft = $2590
12 inch catch basin installed - 3 @ $90/each = $270
9 inch catch basin installed - 3 @ $60/each = $180
Bore under concrete - $75 = $75
= $3115

Is there a sprinkler system or other obstacles they need to go around? No gutter tie in?

3 downspout tie ins. Nothing to go around

Actually, three of those catch basins would be where the three downspouts are.

I am in the market for a drain system myself, that doesn't seem too bad. It is a long line you are putting in, so it doesn't seem too out there. I take it this is the only quote so far?

That's pretty reasonable. I had that done a few years back for about that price.

How long did they say it would take to do? 2 days?

sounds about right, the unseen costs are the trenching and finish work after so those all fall under "installed"

dont forget to confirm thats a total price because some guys try to add taxes on top of the quote while most give total price.

also a good idea to confirm payment type as some charge extra for credit card use and some wont even accept credit cards. just dealt with a guy like that who takes personal checks but not credit cards

a quick way to separate the jack legs from a professional is asking if he will be digging by hand or does he have trenching machine or plans to rent one

That doesn't look too bad. I had a smaller job done about 9-10 months ago. I paid about $1,900 for 140' of 4" pvc, a pop up at my sidewalk, and 4 12"x"12 catch basins. These guys were already doing other work on my site so this was just an addon to the other stuff (grading, sod, landscaping)

seems more reasonable then I thought it would be. I havent called anyone to even give me a quote because I assumed $5k for something similar.

Doesn't seem out of whack. I would add a two-way clean-out halfway down that 185' run.

That price is pretty reasonable. Going rate for perforated sock pipe is approx $15 a linear foot.

$15 a foot installed is about standard so you’re getting somewhat of a deal imo

Doesn't look too bad to me. My only question would be why the $30 difference in price for the 12" vs 9" catch basin. I checked a few prices and they material price is not very different. Can't see a $30 difference in labor cost, but I probably wouldn't make a big deal out of that 'cuz they'd likely just "correct" it so BOTH are $90 per.

Those catch basins are easy to open to be used for cleanouts.

Sounds like they were going to be at one end of the run though.
If you have catchbasins along the run then yea, they can double as cleanouts.

How much concrete are they boring under? $75 seems really cheap for any length of boring.

The larger size is definitely more expensive. The grate drives the price markup. We install perforated sock pipe only. Very few reasons to use sch 40 unless you are crossing a driveway, etc
